IOSH Leading Safely Course takes place in Norfolk, at a venue also conveniently located for businesses based in Suffolk and elsewhere in East Anglia. Most courses are held either at our head office in Great Yarmouth or at a venue in Norwich.
The IOSH Leading Safely course equips business leaders or those in management roles with skills needed in order to protect their employees and their business though accredited health and safety practices.
On the Leading Safely training course, we explore Health and Safety Leadership. We look at the behaviours required to lead effectively in health & safety, emphasising the effect of personal commitment on the achievement of positive changes.
We look at what happens when things go wrong, delving into responsibilities, sanctions, fees for intervention and the concept of corporate manslaughter. We study the “Plan, Do, Check, Act” approach to foster a culture of proactive leadership for a safer workplace.
Participants use the diagnostic tool to review and improve their health and safety performance against a list of standards. They’re required to make a personal commitment to improve their personal health and safety performance and that of their respective organisation.

IOSH Leading Safely Course
The IOSH Leading Safely course is designed to equip business leaders or those with management responsibilities with the skills and knowledge necessary to safeguard their employees and their business though accredited health and safety practices.
- Health and Safety Leadership – What this means and the behaviours required
- When things go wrong – responsibilities, sanctions, Fees for Intervention, Corporate Manslaughter
- Getting it right – Plan, Do, Check, Act
- Personal Commitment – making changes to improve health and safety performance
Learners use the diagnostic tool, accessed via a mobile app, to review and improve their health and safety performance against a list of set standards. They are required to make a personal commitment to improve their own and their organisations’ health and safety performance.
